I haven't gotten past the trap question yet, but I think I know the trap: there are some circumstances in which you *should* treat one person more favorably than others -- if, for example, you're dealing with a bunch of drunks in the aftermath of a bar fight, and three of them are being rowdy, uncooperative, aggressive, and attempting to continue the fight with you. The fourth is looking embarrassed and apologizing for their friends' actions, trying to get them to calm down and behave. And, knowing their friends pretty well, they're even starting to get some results. You would be a fool not to recognize the value in working together with the cooperator in order to secure better behavior from the others. This is a situation in which, *of course* you give one of them better treatment than the others. They earned that by presenting different *behavior* from that of the others. What the question presumably had in mind, of course, is 'how would you ensure you didn't treat someone favorably for irrational -- or even perhaps discriminatory -- reasons. And sure, you have to actually answer that, but first you should dispose of the premise that it applies to every possible situation in which you might have a reason to treat one person differently from others. It doesn't.

I took my assessments for the online assessment centre yesterday. I swear I totally messed it up. I didn’t have much time to prepare my answers and practice them aloud which would have helped A LOT by practicing verbally. As for the briefing exercise I think I was saying the right stuff but it felt like I was reading a list in my head. Writing exercise I’m sure went okay. Love the content you make! Will be going over all of this again soon to prepare my almost definite 2nd attempt lol

With the force I'm applying for, they put 4 statements on each page that you have to answer if you agree with or disagree with (7 options I think) but if you answer 2 or more the same out of 4 then you have to rank them. I feel like you will have to answer 2 or more the same so then you always have to rank them. Any advice for that please??

I came back a few hours ago. The interview lasted several hours but they did a good job of getting us relaxed. I have not received any feedback yet so no clue if l will be going to the next stage. The questions are not easy but they are not too difficult. If you have worked before you might be able to answer at least some of the questions. The follow up questions were based on my initial responses. I don't think any two candidates will necessarily get the same questions.

Maybe if i was trans, i might have had a better chance. Its all a backwards shitshow. Glad now! cant imagine joining and then having to deal with these kind of judgmental people. The issue with the VCTF was there were many inexperienced officers taken from the Safer Transport Command in the early days. This meant young inexperienced officers being given a lot of skills to do the job but they couldn't do it properly. Hence why it has been disbanded now.

Easy Lie on your application, make it obvious! Then state your a Trans, Lesbian, Muslim who loves to put down Britain. Stress that you arrived illegally in the UK 10yrs ago. Also point out that you have to get an easy job, where you can Lawfully bully People. You've complained to the Job Centre, that you don't get enough FREE money and your FREE House is only 2star instead of 5. This means you are forced to get a job and where better than the Police. Here you can do as little as Possible, if you don't want to go out an investigate crimes, you don't have to. You can sit at your Desk all day and get fat, in Money terms aswell! Off the Public Purse of course, it's bottemless. The Authorities just increase Taxes to fill it back up! The Monies fantastic and don't forget that amazing GOLD PLATED PENSION you get. This can be on early retirement, after a year or two, because of stress of possibly you stubbed your big Toe getting up from your Desk to make a cuppa! Never worry about making a mistake, killing someone, putting them in jail unlawfully, ruining their lives, don't forget their family! You are cover by a reporting system that will 99.9% find you did nothing wrong! The 0.1%,? you or your Colleagues missed the footage your victim took and failed to destroy it. Sounds good! THEN JOIN THE POLICE! Welcome to the Two Tier Policing that exists in Britain today!

When no one has a clue, and no on knows nothing, of what to do, you become the micro manager. If its a life and death situation,, you might need to become, the tyrant, micro manager. If is not life and death, your just a micro manager. If your people have skills and most of them already know what to do, the authoritarian leader becomes toxic to all around. You must democratic and give them the respect that they deserve for their knowledge, skills and contributions. There, is the crux of leadership, as a man or woman. Women are always democratic leaders, they can be forceful as leaders, if they believe they have the overwhelming backing of the group, and they always consider if they have the majority of the males behind them too, with that, they can become, super determined, as leaders. And of course, as always , never can we escape the effects of, alpha male bravado, eh, female? I am the greatest of all time, yeap, allll the time to this moment.

  • @platoonsergeanttracemiller

There are only two types of male leaders, authoritarian and democratic. The is one leadership style in females, democratic. Real leadership only truly, comes when all adults around, look and you, and say you all at once, your the leader, because your the only one that we think can do it with the better results. Then, and only then, are you tryly the leader. Das Furher, all hail the leader, that big dumb dawg, that he actually thought he knew what he doing worth a tar, booooooowey.
